Very few cars on the market today come equipped with the range of features and technology that the new INFINITI Q50 boasts. In fact, the INFINITI Q50 luxury sport sedan is loaded with so many high-tech features, from safety to performance to convenience that it’s hard to know where to begin. When the engineers at INFINITI set out to create a vehicle that was equal parts style, luxury and superior handling, technology was at the heart of the Q50 design.
So, with all of the technology built in to the new Q50, we here at INFINITI of Coconut Creek thought we would take the time to explain some of the advanced features you can expect. Here is our list of Tech Tips for making the most of the technology you’ll find in every INFINITI Q50 luxury sedan.
Performance Tech
- Direct Adaptive Steering™–This World’s First technology found on the INFINITI Q50 is designed to give you better steering control by digitally transmitting steering input directly to the wheels. To use this technology simply turn the steering wheel and the processor automatically adapts to rough or uneven roads, making subtle corrections that provide an increased feeling of stability and control.
- Intelligent All-Wheel Drive–This is the Q50’s available all-wheel drive system that instantly adapts to road conditions as they’re encountered. It continually monitors performance and delivers power to the wheels that need it.
Convenience Tech
- INFINITI InTouch™–This Q50 technology feature integrates navigation, convenience, security and entertainment into a state-of-the-art system, right on your dash. Much more than just voice-activation, InTouch™ gives you complete control without ever taking your hands from the wheel.
- INFINITI Touchscreen Navigation–The Q50’s dual touchscreen navigation system is both easy to use and intuitive. It can help you plan your journey, find points of interest, store locations, and find nearby services – all at the touch of your finger.
- Intelligent Key–INFINITI’s Intelligent Key allows you to personalize your vehicle’s settings to fit you. With the press of a button the driver’s seat, mirrors, steering wheel and even the home screen are automatically adjusted to your personal preferences.
- Bluetooth Features–With INFINITI Bluetooth technology you can keep your hands on the wheel while making and receiving phone calls. INFINITI allows you to store your favorite numbers for convenience and voice-activated dialing. The system can support up to five different phones.
Safety Tech
- Predictive Forward Collision Warning–The INFINITI Q50’s Predictive Forward Collision Warning system can sense the relative speed of the vehicle in front of yours, as well as the vehicle in front of that one. So, even if you can’t see what’s happening two cars ahead, your Q50 can.
- Blind Spot Monitoring and Intervention–These safety tech features can help you avoid an accident by warning you of a vehicle in your blind spot with a visual signal on your instrument cluster, and can even guide you safely back into your lane.
- Backup Collision Intervention–This pioneering technology gives Q50 drivers the confidence to backup, even when your view may be impeded. The system can detect crossing traffic, as well as large stationary objects that could be in your path. Using audible and visual alerts it can warn of a collision, and can also engage the brakes momentarily to get your attention.
- Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Collision Warning–This Q50 safety feature can warn you when the system’s distance sensor detects a potential collision, and will even automatically engage the brakes to help reduce impact speed if a collision is imminent.
Hybrid Tech
- Direct Response Hybrid®–On hybrid INFINITI Q50 models, the 3.5-liter engine combined with a 50kW electric motor offers some of the best horsepower and fuel economy of any luxury hybrid. With 360-horsepower and up to 36 MPG on the highway, Direct Response Hybrid® gives you more performance without sacrificing efficiency.
