INFINITI Q30 Concept

All-New INFINITI Q30 to Make it’s Debut in 2015

The newest addition to the INFINITI lineup will be making its debut next year, but here at INFINITI of Coconut Creek we’ve got the latest details now. The exciting new INFINITI Q30 will be the most compact INFINITI vehicle ever produced, and will also be the most eclectic. Built to attract a new younger segment of the driving public, the new Q30 will be part small crossover, part sporty hatchback, part luxury compact SUV – all INFINITI style.

INFINITI fans may remember the Q30 being introduced as a concept car last year at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany. It was announced then that Daimler-Benz would play a role in the development of the new Q30 by providing both the platform and the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that the new INFINITI will use. Production of that engine will take place in a new facility in Decherd Tennessee, and will ultimately total up to 250,000 units annually.

Defying Convention and Creating a New Vehicle Segment

When the INFINITI Q30 finally arrives here in the U.S. sometime in late 2015, it will be a first-of-its-kind vehicle. This new Premium Compact will combine the handling of a sport coupe with the versatility of a hatchback and the taller stance of a crossover. The result will be a unique INFINITI vehicle with dramatic, flowing body lines that appear like sculpted waves. Its wheels will be set at the extreme corners for added stability, while the roofline tapers back to a notched C-pillar as on the QX60. The rear deck lid will open hatchback-style, allowing cargo access behind the rear seats.

The interior of the new Q30 will be similarly striking and unconventional. Curved and flowing surfaces give an organic feel to the cabin space, with stitched leather seating surfaces, subtle LED lighting, and both brushed and glossy metallic accents. Throughout the passenger compartment, the focus will be on unique features and contemporary styling.

Performance and Handling – Expect a Powerful Punch

With the engine and platform of the new Q30 being provided in collaboration with Daimler-Benz, we can expect power output to be similar to the Mercedes GLA-Class compact crossover. The turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine puts out more than 200-horsepower, and 258 lb-ft of torque. With a little performance boosting by INFINITI engineers, the new Q30 may even be rated higher. It’s expected that either a 7-speed automatic or a CVT (continuously variable transmission) will be offered. Either way, it will be a powerful combination in such a compact package.

New vehicle models are always a thrill, and this new premium compact design concept has everyone here at INFINITI of Coconut Creek excited. We can’t wait to get them in and begin offering them to our clientele here in South Florida. If you want to learn more about the upcoming debut of the INFINITI Q30, stop on by our dealership.
